This is the OFFICIAL webpage for The Buddy System.  In case you dont know who and what The Buddy System is...here is a little about us.  We are here to have fun and want everyone to come out to our shows.

This band started sometime in 2004 when guitarist Gergo Arany went over to drummer Thomas Marchands house.  This was the early incarnation of The Buddy System.  About 3 months later, bassist Paul Shaaf was added to the line-up. This was the line-up of the Corporate Criminals.  This was the first type of "band" that we had put together and we were determined to get the project off the ground.  We mainly played Green Day and Nirvana.  After about a month or so, Peter Shaaf voulenteered to do vocals, which he then became a part of the band.  We were now a full peice band.  We did like the fact that we were playing together, but guitarist Gergo Arany needed another guitarist to fullfil the other guitar parts.  Personally, he wanted John Sykes to be it.  So we asked, but it never really got to the point were the band really incorporated him into the band. 

Around June of 2005, the Corporate Criminals broke up, never really expecting to play together again.  Then around August of 2005, Thomas, Peter, Paul, and Gergo decided to jam together, but not really put together a band.  After that session, we decided that it would be cool to put togehter the band.  This band would later be called The Buddy System.  We again, asked John Sykes to be in our band, but this time it turned out to be for real.  It was going to happen.  We jammed together one day, and John's mom asked what we wanted to do for his birthday.  We thought it would be cool to play a gig.  It happened, John's mom turned out to be our manager, and every thing is cool.
